As a Call Center Scheduler, you will:

  • Operate a multi-line telephone system, placing outbound calls for appointment scheduling and receiving inbound calls triaging patient ocular complaints.
  • Document detailed information regarding patients’ symptoms and health history, confidentially.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with referring providers.
  • Register new patients and schedule appointments and respond to voicemails or fax requests effectively in a timely manner.
  • Determine nature of calls, take detailed messages from patients regarding medical questions and medication refills, and refer to appropriate staff or ophthalmic technicians.
  • Fax office notes, manage incoming electronic fax folder, and scan records and referrals into patient’s chart.

You will need to have the following:

  • High school diploma or GED.  Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service or call center experience.
  • Experience in Ophthalmology a plus.
  • Experience using Epic or EMR a plus.
  • Understand and communicate well with patients; maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Superb time management and accuracy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written as well as attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to display positive rapport, displaying tact and courteous professionalism with coworkers, staff, supervisors, and physicians.
  • Strong computer skills inclusive of Microsoft Office.

We are seeking a personable, detail-oriented, customer service driven administrative professional to join our well-established team as a Front Desk Receptionist based out of our Peterborough, NH office.  As a Front Desk Receptionist, you’ll be the ambassador of first impressions for the medical office, managing all front desk duties, including answering phone calls, greeting visitors, managing appointments, and providing administrative support to various departments.  Our ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering a consistent and exceptional experience to patients, be an excellent multi-tasker, and have a willingness to learn and grow, working towards a patient services certification (paid by The Medical Eye Center) if desired.  Apply now to start this amazing career opportunity!

As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will:

  • Promptly and professionally greet patients and vendors upon arrival at the office and field incoming calls as needed.
  • Schedule patient appointments and make outgoing calls for appointments with outside doctors.
  • Check patients in for appointments; verify insurance and demographic information at each visit, collect co-payments and patient balances.
  • Copy/scan insurance cards and any other needed information.
  • Check out patients after they’ve seen the physician; schedule return visits as needed.
  • Copy, scan, and mail documents and forms as needed; Fax office notes to referring physicians.
  • Assist with miscellaneous administrative duties and projects when needed.

You will need to have the following:

  • High school diploma or GED.  Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service or front desk experience.
  • Experience in Ophthalmology or medical office a plus.
  • Experience using Epic or EMR a plus.
  • Positive and upbeat attitude with a welcoming demeanor.
  • Understand and communicate well with patients; maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written as well as attention to detail skills.

As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you’ll be focused on providing direct patient care, telephone triage, patient education, and assisting the doctor with a variety of tasks.  Our ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced work environment, can adapt to things quickly, and have a willingness to learn and grow, working towards certification (paid by The Medical Eye Center) if desired.  Apply now to start this amazing career opportunity!

As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will:

  • Promptly and professionally assist the doctor in patient care.
  • Perform technical workups, collect and record patient history, exam results, and observations on appropriate forms in medical system.
  • Communicate with patients regarding follow-up care, surgeries, procedures, changes in schedule, symptoms, surgery scheduling, etc.
  • Maintain and clean all equipment being used, and report to supervisor if not in working condition.
  • Assist with returning patient phone calls related to clinic questions or concerns.
  • Learn how to accurately perform and administer testing on patients including Visual Acuity, Refractometry, Lensometry, Split Lamp Exams, Tonometry, OCT imaging, Keratometry, P.A.M. Testing, B.A.T Testing, Biometry, Immersion, Pupil Assessments, Pachymetry, Color and Stereo Vision Testing, Corneal Topography, and Visual Field Testing.

You will need to have the following:

  • High school diploma or GED.  Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience.
  • Experience in Ophthalmology a plus.
  • Experience using Epic or EMR a plus.
  • Understand and communicate well with patients; maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Understand and follow procedures for surgical and procedural consent.
  • Ability to perform basic math and algebra calculations.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written as well as attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to display positive rapport, displaying tact and courteous professionalism with coworkers, staff, supervisors, and physicians.
  • Strong computer skills inclusive of Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to travel between office locations in Manchester, Nashua, and Bedford.
